Build A Website

Websites are generally much more accessible to the ordinary guy on the street these days. Gone are the days were you need to hire a professional web development company to build your site costing thousands an thousands of dollars.

You can get something built for a couple of hundred dollars and done right can mean updating it yourself is an absolute doddle too!

Here is my 5 step formula for getting your website built.

1. Get a Domain name:

This is easy, go to GoDaddy.com and register your domain… I’ve even done a video to show you how…

2. Get A Web hosting Account:

This is so you have somewhere for your website to live on the internet. One of the best companies I have found who’ll give you 24/7 support and provide the easiest of interfaces to get your site set up is StartLogic once again there is a video here for you to watch to get this set up:

3. Find A Template:

There is little point starting to design a site from scratch. Your developer (see step 4) will more than likely just use a template that he has access to. So make it super easy and find a template that you like. The best location for templates right now is Template Monster On here you can find templates for anything from Wordpress BLOG templates, to shopping cart systems, and full blown corporate looking sites.

4. Hire A Developer:

Hiring a developer is actually really very easy. I created an e-book purely to demonstrate how to specify what you want and how to find a developer. Download the short e-book here, and hire a developer from Elance.com

Right now I would recommend that you get a website built on a Wordpress BLOG platform, this is by far the easiest method to get a great looking site and have the ability to update it yourself.

5. Be Able To Collect Email Addresses

One of the keys of any successful business, fitness or otherwise is getting a list of local leads. The only reason I pack out my bootcamp every month and keep my personal trainers busy is because of the list… if you take nothing else away from this page, do this one thing and you’ll have a massively more successful fitness business. Use a company such as Aweber to manage your list.

Start the right way by using this top rated, but very reasonably priced service! Start Using Aweber For a Dollar!

Really there is little else left to tell… Websites are not rocket science
