The situation over at my GoDaddy.com account (*HINT* where I buy my domain names) looked even worse, with 83 registered domains, but with only about 18 actually pointing to a vaguely finished website.

I was in a BIG old mess, leaking clients, leaking prospects, and the worst part leaking cash too.

Just at a point when it was getting really ugly, I made a BIG Discovery. And strangely it was at a point that I started investing in my business education again that things started to make a turn for the better.

I took a week out of my mess of a business to go to a major marketing seminar in America. I invested in the region of 4 thousand dollars on the trip, and I tell you the discovery I made has repaid me in many multiples.

In all honesty it was not any one speaker at that event that triggered the discovery, and to be perfectly frank it wasn’t anything any of the speakers specifically said.

• Accessed my hosting account and created a new account for the new domain (1 minute)
• Installed WordPress on the account (3 minutes)
• Searched for and downloaded a suitable theme for the website (5 minutes)
• Uploaded the theme to the new WordPress install (3 minutes)
• Copied the website copy from my existing website for the product, uploaded images, created a Paypal button, generally tidied up the page (20 minutes)

DONE

I spun the laptop around to my wife and asked “what do you think?”

Her response was…

“I didn’t think you hired developers anymore, Who did that?”

“Me, Just Now, In 30 minutes!!!”

And that’s when it really struck me.
