MyFitGeek Resources
Want to know what tools and information sources I have used to get the best from my websites and the internet to develop my successful personal training and bootcamp business?
This page contains only those resources that I have actually purchased and utilised to grow my business. I do not promote products to make an affiliate check, I do so to provide those that are looking for the tools and resources that will educate and inform you.
Yes many of these products have my affiliate link embedded, you have the choice to search out the products separately if you feel so strongly about not putting a couple of dollars in my pocket for giving you these pointers.
If you do purchase through this page, then I thank you sincerely and hope you take the necessary action with each product to get the results I have.
These guys are just plain cool.
Not only do they provide the best value Pro hosting service you can ask for, they even DELIVER on there 24/7 support like no other company I have used. Seriously, look no further if you are need somewhere for your web site to be hosted.
Go for their Pro Logic account and forget about your hosting issues for the next two years!
I have got more SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and web marketing books and e-books than I care to mention. To be honest most of them suck, they over complicate what is actually a very simple and obvious subject. Matt Man has pulled together a 90 page e-book that beats any ‘perfect bound’ title you’ll ever find.
It is written in a straight-forward, matter of fact style. The content is laid out well, with sections on
- how search engines work in a non geek way
- what are the key elements of your web page are for optimising your find-ability
- developing content
- the real truth behind website links
- and traditional marketing techniques to boost your web presence
- as well as much more tips and tricks to really get your site going the right way up google.
You can get this book right now! It is an ebook you can download immediately.
AutoResponders / Email List Management
If you don’t have a list you don’t have a business. Picking a list management company is not easy, and it is essential you pick the right one. I currently use two.
Aweber is my primary list management tool. It is reliable, cost effective and you’ll certainly get great delivery statistics. The downsides are it can be a pain if you want to use any automation software to take new sign ups across to aweber. They are insistent that every new lead goes through a double opt in regardless of its source.
iContact is my second tool. I started with this one a few years ago and the interface was always great, it is much easier to use than Aweber, and the problems with automated opt-in are not an issue with iContact. However, the big downside is the price… BIG lists will cost you a lot of cash.
WPHacks is where you can get lots of great information about doing cool stuff with Wordpress. However you are primarily interested in just one thing from this site. TEMPLATES. And some pretty cool looking ones too. The MyFitGeek site is based upon one of the templates on this site. All free, no need to buy anything. A great little site.
Article Submission – SubmitYourArticle
This is a resource that I started using years ago, kept on trying different services but ultimately kept on returning to SubmitYourArticle. Has some pretty unique software for distributing your articles in a more natural way. Devilering them to different locations all over the internet over a prolonged period rather than flooding the internet all in one go (which you can still do if you want)
Limits you to submitting 8 articles a month but to be honest, I really don’t write more than an article a week.
